Chickens in the local paper

There's a nice article about Longmont hens in today's TimesCall titled Coming home to roost - Chicken supporters say newly legal birds worth the cost, effort.

Also, as of Friday morning, Ben Ortiz reported to me there were about 10 chicken permits remaining. Details on obtaining a permit can be found here.

  1. Some of our more imaginative commenters on the TC's online article ( http://www.timescall.com/news_story.asp?ID=15010 ) are calling the the program proof that Marxists have taken over Longmont's city government. I don't see how anybody could be so alienated from reality and still considered sane.

  2. Hehe Ralph,
It's members of LIFT...the Longmont right-wing group that are able to call their brother and sister: ma and pa.

  3. Henny, do you even know who is on the LIFT board? DEMOCRATS! LAWYERS! NON-PROFIT EXECUTIVE DIRECTORS! So much for your "right-wing group" statement. Best learn who you're talking about before you start bashing those who vote for the same representatives that you do!

  4. There was an article in the Loveland Reporter Herald yesterday (I'm pretty sure it was yesterday). It may be the same article, I'm not sure.

  5. Henny, don't crack that egg your big butt is sitting on.

And Ralphie? Maybe you and Henny could pool your money together and get yerselves a chicken permit. It would give both of you something to do.

  6. Funny, all you have to do is look sideways at LIFT and the heroic 'anonymous' commenters come flying out of the woodwork. You'd almost think they were being paid to monitor the media.
